The NETWORK is a youth development program in the city of Newark. We have been providing quality programming and instruction to the youth and adults of Newark for over 10 years. Our mission is dedication to providing the community with the highest quality athletic, academic and social enriching activities to ensure the success of at-risk, inner-city youth. We are committed to creating a network that brings into closer relationship the home, the school and the community; whereby we can reach our ultimate goal which is to help young people attain the necessary skills that life demands and that will empower them to realize that there are positive options available to them to ensure their success. Our desire is to be increasingly more pro-active in attacking the self-destructive behaviors brought on by drugs, racism, street violence, and overall poor education.
The NETWORK believes with positive options, young people will make positive choices. Our wish, in spite of the challenges our youth face, the program can help them to become productive, responsible adults but just as importantly, enable them to fully enjoy their childhood years. By offering a wide range of programs, we give youth access to an environment that promotes respect for self and others, education and recreation; positive experiences to carry with them throughout their lives.
